Any of you who haven’t been on the blog in the last year (and are wondering why there have been so few posts) may not know this, but I’ve been writing a book. Well, actually, I’ve written three books – more about that later. Let’s stick with book one for now.
The title is finalised and we’re finally almost there! I’ve been wandering around making undignified squealing noises since I saw the final cover for MidLife in Gretna Green. I think it’s gorgeous and picturing how all the books will look with their complementary covers once they’re all published has been a source of great joy for me this month.
Book one, now officially called MidLife in Gretna Green, will be published in early July. It’s the first in a series of books set in Gretna Green and featuring our heroine Niki McKnight. When book one begins, her life isn’t in a great place, she was widowed a year ago and her boss is a bully – but things change quickly for her. She’s forced to move from her beloved city of Manchester to the wilds of rural Scotland when she inherits her grandmother’s cottage.
Her gran’s magical, sentient cottage.
Oh yeah the move comes with a new job for her. The kind of job they don’t recruit for, you have to be born to it. And you can’t refuse it either. This job has been waiting for her since she was born – she was just blissfully unaware of it.
I’ll tell you all more about it nearer to publication time, but for now just know that it’s the first in a planned series of seven books.
But right now, I need to do battle with technology and set up an author newsletter so you can all sign up and get notifications when the books are released.
Pop back on June 15th to see the gorgeous cover in all its beauty.

I’m just on book 7 in the series I have really enjoyed it, love the way the story unfolds, it brings with it many emotions, sadness, happiness, and many others in between.
Would definitely recommend this series.
